Early in 2009, God began to speak to Scott Bertoni (RHOP director) about establishing a house of prayer in the Ogden, Utah area (Roy, Utah to be exact!).  Scott and two others began to pray for God to supply worship leaders who could train people in the Harp & Bowl prayer model.  By faith, they started running the live web stream from IHOP-KC 24 hours a day.

Today, with a handful of people, the Roi House of Prayer began taking shape.  Harp & Bowl Workshops, Intro to RHOP, Encountering God Services (EGS), and live sets have been added to the schedule.  As we continue to pray for our region, God is faithfully adding people with like passion to the RHOP family.  We are excited for all Yahweh has in store for RHOP and this region.

Mission:

In this hour of history, all over the earth, the Holy Spirit is raising up watchmen who are called to night and day prayer and worship.  The Roy House of Prayer (RHOP) exists to minister to Jesus as our number one focus, equip the saints to live in extravagant devotion to God, strengthen and build unity among the Body of Christ, and change the spiritual atmosphere of our city and region… all through 24/7 worship and prayer.

Vision:

We are a Missions Base, partnering with God for the transformation of Utah into the “Worship State”, in Spirit and in Truth.  “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24)

We are a gathering place for eagles, an oasis for the weary, and a refuge for existing ministries.  “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
